It’s been a long search but I finally found it; a social life. Seriously, I don’t think I have ever been busier than the past few months. There are weeks that I don’t even have time to check things online or my email. And that’s not because I don’t want to, but because there are just not enough hours in the day to spread between work, friends, errands and other things that happen offline.
I do miss reading everyone’s entries and writing some of my own, and I’ll try to catch up with everyone over the weekend. When I finally get some time to sit and relax. Or at least I hope so
.
I could write up something about when I stayed at a friend’s house in the middle of nowhere after watching some horror movies, or how I finally got the flowers and badge after becoming ‘employee of the month’ but that wouldn’t make this post any better. In fact it might even make it worse, as honestly, nothing happened in the middle of nowhere and flowers are just flowers and don’t make for interesting conversations anyway
.
I do have some things I want to state my opinion about (because, you know, everyone is entitled to my opinion eh?!) but that will have to wait for the weekend. So basically this is just (another) post to let everyone know I’m not gone forever or on hiatus, I’m just plain busy.

You would think that a flu shot would actually prevent you from getting the flu. But -of course- for me that isn’t true. Every year I get a letter from my general practician telling me that it’s time for my flu shot. I get the letter because of my arthritis, which causes my immune system to be very weak. So in general if someone has a slight cough, I get a light flu.
With that in mind I went to the doctors office last Thursday to get my shot. The next day I already felt my throat acting up a little and over the weekend it progressed from a slight cold to a full flu. I attended my work outing on Saturday night and when I came back I got very sick. Not because I was drunk or anything (as I don’t drink and drive!) but it was the flu acting up.
By Sunday I couldn’t do anything else than lay in bed, sleep, take enough fluids and hoped to get better to go to work the next day. But the flu doesn’t get beaten by a day in bed, so I’ve been sick since the weekend although I’m feeling better, hopefully I feel good enough to go to work tomorrow.
It seems that nothing ever can go a normal way with me, but hey, at least it’s never boring

Some of you already might have heard this, but Zita, my horse, passed away last Wednesday a week ago. She was very ill and we know we made the right decision to let her go but it’s never an easy one.
She is greatly missed and I’ll always carry her with me in my heart. She has taught me a lot over the years and I’m very grateful for that and for knowing her.
But as with everything, life goes on, even without her the world doesn’t stop turning. The other horses miss her too but they also realize that things go on. So I guess that means I’m back online, if - of course - my schedule allows it. It seems that I’m currently busier than ever
.
Thanks for everyone’s kind words, it was nice to read them and they cheered me up a bit.
